The complete SwimSafer 2.0 pathway, Stage 1 through Stage 6 — coached and assessed by NROC-certified, MOE-registered instructors. We place your child at the right stage and guide them all the way to certification, at your condo or a nearby pool.
SwimSafer 2.0 is Singapore's national water-safety and learn-to-swim programme. It's structured into six progressive stages, each combining swimming skills with vital survival and water-safety knowledge — and each ending in an assessment and a nationally recognised certificate.
The programme was designed to make sure every child in Singapore can not only swim, but stay safe in and around water. Because of that survival focus, SwimSafer is the standard most parents and schools look for. Our coaches are NROC-certified and MOE-registered, which means we're qualified both to teach and to assess SwimSafer — so your child earns their certificates with us directly, with no separate testing centre to visit.
We coach SwimSafer for children and adults, in private or small-group lessons, at your own condominium pool or a nearby public complex. See pools near Tengah →
Each stage builds on the last, pairing stroke development with survival skills. Here's what your child works on at every stage.
Safe entry and exit, submerging and breath control, floating and gliding on front and back with support.
Survival: comfort and confidence in shallow water.Independent floating and rotation, basic propulsion on the front and back, and moving through the water unaided.
Survival: rolling, recovering to a stand, basic safety.Developing front crawl and backstroke over a distance, plus treading water and sculling to stay afloat.
Survival: treading water and personal safety skills.Refining freestyle and backstroke, introducing breaststroke, and building confidence in deeper water.
Survival: deep-water confidence and self-rescue.Swimming all strokes over a sustained distance with better technique, stamina and control.
Survival: stronger water-safety and rescue awareness.Polishing all four competitive strokes with real endurance — the mark of a confident, capable swimmer.
Survival: lifesaving and rescue fundamentals.Once your child completes the SwimSafer stages, they can progress to lifesaving awards — the Bronze, Silver and Gold series — which build rescue skills, endurance and water-safety leadership.
These awards are separate from the SwimSafer pathway and are a natural next step for strong young swimmers, competitive aspirants and future lifeguards. If your child is ready for more after Stage 6, just ask us about the lifesaving route.
We'll assess your child's level on the first lesson and place them at the right stage — no guesswork. Kids and adults, group or private.
Our coaches hold the certification required to conduct and assess SwimSafer — your child certifies with us directly.

Yes. Our coaches are NROC-certified and MOE-registered, so we both teach and assess SwimSafer. Your child earns their certificates directly through us.
It varies by child and by stage. Some children clear an early stage in a handful of lessons; later stages take longer. Private lessons and holiday intensives speed up progress.
We assess your child's current ability in the first lesson and place them at the right stage — no need to guess. Complete beginners simply start at Stage 1.
The programme is designed mainly for children, but the same skills apply to adults learning to swim. We'll tailor the right approach for adult learners — just ask.
Message Coach Alvin with your child's age and swimming level, and we'll arrange an assessment and trial.
